Financial performance appraisal is used to determine the company's yield so that it can determine the company's next policy. The right company policies and actions are necessary to maintain the viability of the company. Evidence states that there is still an assessment of financial performance using different analyzes from several studies. This study aims to determine the financial performance of PT PLN, East Java distribution using horizontal analysis and ratio analysis. The research period is for 5 years from 2011 to 2015. The results show that companies with returns on investment tend to improve, but in the form of cash, there is still fluctuation. This is made clear by companies that are still not able to take advantage of their assets. Companies tend to use sources of loan capital to finance company assets but have not been able to properly maintain funds. So that the company's cash is still having a little trouble paying for its short-term debts. Outgoing funds tend to be higher than incoming funds, so it is necessary to make savings on company expenditure items. The financial performance of PT PLN for the distribution of East Java for the 2011-2015 period was concluded as bad or unhealthy with a high risk. Evidenced by the weights and scores that are always low.
