Abstract

The Job Creation Law No. 11 of 2020 especially Article 60A (Paragraph 15 concerning Post, Telecommunications and Broadcasting, Article 72) requires 728 broadcasting institutions throughout Indonesia to migrate terrestrial television broadcasting from analog technology to digital technology no later than 2 (two) years since the enactment of this Law. Local television stations must migrate immediately. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach and primary data collection with in-depth interviews and observations aimed at knowing the readiness of local private broadcasting institutions (LPS) in Bengkulu to face the implementation of the migration of analog television broadcasts to digital television broadcasts. The results showed that in terms of management, financial, infrastructure, personnel and innovation, RBTV was ready to migrate. Meanwhile, BETV in terms of management, personnel and innovation is ready to migrate. Meanwhile, from the financial and infrastructure side, we still have to make various efforts to be ready to migrate.
