Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence, independence, work experience, and level of education on audit quality in the Jambi Provincial Inspectorate. The population in this study are officials who occupy functional positions, consisting of 45 respondents, data collection methods using questionnaires, data analysis methods using multiple linear analysis and data processing using SPSS version 22 computer programs, it was concluded that competency and work experience variables proved to be influential on audit quality, while the independence and education level variables do not affect the audit quality. Simultaneously, competence, independence, work experience and level of education influence the audit quality at the Jambi Provincial Inspectorate office.
