PENGENDALIAN KECURANGAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN ETIKA PROFESI PADA INDUSTRI PERBANKAN DI INDONESIA

The purpose of this study is to determine fraud control and the development of professional ethics in the banking industry in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature review. The results of this research show that it is necessary to carry out proactive fraud control from the parties concerned, the existence of regulations does not guarantee that fraud will be prevented, while management's commitment to prevention and detection of any corporate actions takes precedence. In industrial revolution 4.0, fraud cases in the banking sector were increasingly widespread, one of which was cybercrime banking fraud, which was carried out by exploiting weaknesses in company systems and management weaknesses. Modes of cyber-crime that attack the Indonesian banking system, namely skimming, phishing and malware. The conclusion is many cases of fraud in the banking sector in Indonesia are due to weak fraud controls conducted by banks. From the regulatory side, OJK has issued POJK 39/2019 regarding the implementation of an anti-fraud strategy but OJK does not explain the motivations, rationalizations, types of fraud and red-flag of banks that are indicated as fraud. The banking also needs to improve ethical business principles. Suggestions for the future are banks must improve cyber security.
