Strategic Business Development and Operational Management of ‘Kakak Kecil’ Thrift Shoe Store in Malang: A Community Service-Based Approach
Abstract
This article presents the strategic business development and operational management of ‘Kakak Kecil’ thrift shoe store in Malang, with a focus on applying key business management functions to overcome operational challenges. The business, led by owner Ibu Evida Ulfi, operates in the second-hand branded shoe market, providing affordable shoes to young consumers. Despite its success, it faces significant issues such as limited workforce capacity, disorganized inventory management, and insufficient financial tracking. These challenges hinder the store’s growth and efficiency. Following a community service-based approach, this study implemented recommendations to improve human resource management, inventory control, and financial documentation. The results included increased customer satisfaction, better stock management, and improved financial tracking, positioning the business for sustainable growth. This article aims to optimize operational efficiency and ensure long-term business success.
