Abstract

In this era of globalization, the financial sistem has an important role in efforts to improve people's welfare and encourage economic growth globally. Based on Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2016 concerning The National Strategy on Inclusive Finance, Financial Inclusion is defined as a condition when every member of the public has access to a variety of quality formal financial services in a timely, smooth and safe manner at an affordable cost in accordance with the needs and capabilities in order to improve the welfare of the community. PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk Makassar regional office as one of the National banks that has a large network and spread, has a media of financial literacy  and inclusion to the community by developing a program Laku Pandai (branchless banking) with the name BRILink.

The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of BRILink implementation in Makassar City in  encouraging  Financial  Inclusion.  The  method  used  in  this  research  is  with  descriptive  qualitative approach. The results of this research can be stated that the application of BRILink in makassar city is effective in encouraging Financial Inclusion, namely 1) BRILink helps the economy of the community and through the fees that can be, 2) BRILink provides products and services that are in accordance with the needs of the community, 3) the existence of BRILink makes the public know more about financial services, 4) BRILink facilitates the public in accessing financial services, 5) BRILink participates in helping the government in strengthening synergy between financial institutions in supporting the achievement of financial sistem stability, 6) BRILInk optimizes the role of information and communication technology (ICT) through EDC machines and BRILink mobile applications to expand the scope of financial services.
