Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Journal Widya Gama Intellectual Property Right (WGIPR) is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in publishing. These standards apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. Our ethics policy follows the guidelines of the Committe of Publication Ethics (COPE).

Any article that does not follow these ethical standards may be removed, even after publication. If we suspect plagiarism or duplicate publication, we will report it to the appropriate authorities. All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software. Our acceptance rate is less than 20%.

Editor Responsibilities

Accountability and Plagiarism
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles will be published. Their decisions are based on the journal’s policies and legal requirements, including issues of copyright, libel, and plagiarism. All submissions are checked for plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or reviewers before making a decision.

Fairness
Editors evaluate manuscripts based only on academic merit, without discrimination related to race, gender, religion, nationality, or political views.

Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must keep all information about submitted manuscripts confidential. Information may only be shared with authors, reviewers, editorial advisers, or the publisher when necessary.

Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information for personal benefit. They must avoid handling manuscripts if there is a conflict of interest.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must keep manuscript information confidential and evaluate papers objectively based only on academic content.

Each manuscript is first reviewed by the editor. If suitable, it is sent to two reviewers for double-blind peer review. The Editorial Board and at least one independent reviewer evaluate the manuscript before a publication decision is made. Editorial Board members’ submissions are reviewed using the same process.

Reviewers must:

  • Evaluate manuscripts fairly and objectively
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Inform the Editor-in-Chief if they find ethical violations
  • Decline the review if they are not qualified or cannot complete it on time
