Artificial Intelligence Policy

Journal of Application and Science on Electrical Engineering (JASEE) recognizes the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning tools (such as Large Language Models and generative AI) in academic writing and research. To maintain transparency, academic integrity, and ethical standards, JASEE adopts the following policy regarding AI usage:

  1. Prohibition of AI as an Author: Artificial intelligence tools, language models, or generative software cannot be listed as authors, co-authors, or cited creators. Authorship entails accountability for the research work, which AI systems cannot assume.
  2. Permitted Uses of AI-Assisted Tools: Authors are permitted to use AI tools strictly for improving readability, language polishing, grammar correction, or basic code formatting (e.g., in Python/C++ for IoT or control systems simulation).
  3. Mandatory Disclosure: If AI or AI-assisted technologies are used during the preparation of the manuscript, data analysis, or software coding, authors must explicitly disclose this in the Acknowledgments or a dedicated Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies section before the references. The disclosure must state:
    • The name of the AI tool, version, and model used.
    • The specific sections or tasks where the tool was applied (e.g., manuscript editing, coding assistance).
  4. Author Accountability: Authors remain fully responsible and accountable for the content of their submission, including the accuracy of any generated text, references, data analyses, and formulas. Plagiarism, fabricated data, or unverified AI-generated citations will lead to immediate rejection or retraction.
