Allegation of Research Misconduct
JASEE Journal of Application and Science on Electrical Engineering is committed to maintaining research integrity and ethical scholarly publishing. The journal handles allegations of research misconduct in submitted or published articles fairly, objectively, and confidentially, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Types of Misconduct
Research misconduct includes plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, manipulation of experimental or simulation results, inappropriate modification of figures or images, duplicate publication, authorship misconduct, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other violations of research ethics. Particular attention is given to the authenticity of engineering measurements, experimental data, simulations, and technical findings.
Reporting and Investigation
Allegations may be reported by authors, reviewers, readers, or other concerned parties to the JASEE Editorial Office at [email protected], accompanied by relevant evidence. Anonymous reports may be considered when supported by verifiable information.
The Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary assessment, requests clarification from the authors, and may consult independent experts or relevant institutions when necessary. Individuals with conflicts of interest must not participate in the investigation. All parties are treated fairly and given an appropriate opportunity to respond.
Editorial Actions
For manuscripts under review, confirmed misconduct may result in rejection. For published articles, appropriate actions may include publishing a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction, depending on the severity and supporting evidence. Any post-publication notice will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.
Commitment to Research Integrity
JASEE maintains confidentiality throughout the investigation, documents editorial decisions, and ensures that corrective actions are proportionate to the findings. These procedures follow COPE recommendations to protect the integrity and reliability of published scientific research.
