Peer Review Process

Bulletin of Management and Business (BMB) is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, objective, and transparent peer review process to ensure the scholarly quality and integrity of published research.

Double-Anonymous Peer Review

Manuscripts proceeding to external review are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during the review process.

1. Peer Review Stages

01
Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through OJS with the required documents and declarations.
02
Editorial Screening
Editors assess scope, originality, manuscript completeness, ethical compliance, and submission requirements.
03
Reviewer Assignment
Qualified independent reviewers are selected according to subject expertise and potential conflicts of interest.
04
Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate scholarly contribution, research methods, analysis, findings, and the quality of presentation.
05
Revision & Reassessment
Authors revise the manuscript and respond to reviewer comments. Additional assessment may be conducted when necessary.
06
Editorial Decision
The editor determines the outcome based on reviewer evaluations and compliance with journal standards.

2. Review Criteria

Reviewers assess the manuscript's relevance to the journal's aims and scope, originality, theoretical and practical contributions, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, validity of conclusions, clarity of presentation, and compliance with research and publication ethics.

3. Editorial Decisions

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Reviewers provide recommendations, while the final decision remains the responsibility of the designated editor.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be declined during initial editorial screening without external review. Submission and peer review do not guarantee acceptance.

4. Reviewer Ethics and Confidentiality

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations. They must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, respect intellectual property rights, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Reviewers must not disclose unpublished manuscript content to unauthorized parties or upload confidential submissions to external artificial intelligence services without editorial authorization and appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

5. Author Revisions and Reassessment

Authors receiving revision requests should submit a revised manuscript accompanied by a point-by-point response to reviewer and editor comments. The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editor.

6. Review Timeline

Review duration may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the number of revisions required. Authors will receive editorial updates through the OJS platform. BMB does not guarantee acceptance or publication within a fixed period.

7. Research Integrity and Editorial Responsibility

Editors are responsible for ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and editorial independence throughout the review process. Suspected plagiarism, fabrication, manipulation, or other ethical concerns will be addressed in accordance with BMB's Publication Ethics.

Authors may submit a reasoned appeal regarding an editorial decision through the journal's official communication channel. Appeals will be evaluated based on documented evidence and applicable editorial procedures.
